accreditation policy

Change Designs has been accredited since October 2003. We have an established, tried-and-tested quality system which ensures our client companies and learners all receive a high standard of service. Our focus in the market remains:

• High level change interventions and programmes for learners at level 5, 6 and 7.(post-matric) - aimed at senior managers, in house and external consultants and executives.

We recently conducted market research into what our clients required. The results showed that:

• High level executives generally do not have the time or inclination to embark on a NATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK assessment process.

• The SETA grant amounts available to client companies subsidise rather than cover the costs of training and assessment, and often do not even cover the extra cost of the NATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK assessment needed in order to claim such subsidies.

• Our market is more concerned with quality delivery than an accreditation certificate.

Accreditation with a SETA is only needed by short-course providers IF they wish to assess and award NATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK credits.

The extensive accreditation bureaucracy that many SETAs impose on small quality training providers takes their eye off the ball – the focus is moving from a client-focused, learner-focused approach to SETA/legislation and paperwork-focused.

IS THIS WHAT WE WANT FOR OUR CLIENTS?

Our market does not require it!

Our training processes do not deserve it!

Change Designs – in keeping with our innovative change management approach – has chosen to take a learner-focused route and climb off the bureaucratic bandwagon!

This means we will no longer be accredited by SSETA.

BUT

We continue to maintain our quality offering – as we have done for many years.

Our new approach does not exclude those learners who wish to achieve NATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK credits. Our assessment partner, NQ Plus Networks (Pty) Ltd, is able to provide and assessment and certification service to those clients who require this.
